Deniz Halal Meat & Grocery

Visiting the area and was happy to stop and grab some halal meat to cook for the family. Was not greeted and my Salam was ignored. I asked if they have halal ground beef and chicken and was sort of snapped back at with “this is a halal store isn't it” with a mean look and then silence. The store was very clean and organized. The service was fast. Reasonable prices. I don’t know if he accidentally gave me ground lamb- but the ground beef wasn’t right. Strong gamey taste and smell and my kids would eat the tacos or pasta or tacos I made with it. Based on the unfriendly service- I wouldn’t return.

Excellent market with a wide variety of primarily packaged Turkish products, but with a fresh meat butcher section as well in the grocery. Also serves a limited selection of Turkish food prepared on premises such as beef, feta cheese or spinach filled böreks (warm pastries) at an adjacent bagel store with seating available by the same owner. Ample free parking available outside.

Excellent selection of unique Mediterranean foods. Some of my favorites are taramosalata (fish row), feta cheese, kashkaval cheese, olives, and my favorite basterma!

The worst customer service I've ever experienced in North America. There is nothing acceptable about the way the shopkeeper approached us, his refusal to give us an itemized bill, and the fact that we had to wait 10-15 minutes for it to arrive from the bagel store next door every time we went shopping. Though I have no complaints about the variety of products, I do not accept disrespectful and unprofessional service. I'll not visit this store again. Thanks.

Everything is priced double in this store. You better have to go to visit any other store or just order online. This business owner must believe that he is extremely smart, or he has right to price items extremely high? For example 4 count "simit" $4.99, but in this place 2 count "simit" $4.99. Turkish tea is $9.99 anywhere else but in this store $12.99!! why??? Rude customer service and expensive food. No Thanks. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
