Jerusalem Halal Market

I can't believe I've lived in NEPA for two years before finally coming here. I got all of the groceries I was looking for - I cannot wait to try the olive oil. My partner and I ordered the lamb and rice & chicken shawarma and both were delicious. And to top it all off everyone was very welcoming and kind. We will certainly be back!

Was never going to write a bad review but this time had to do it because it’s been a ridiculous experience yet again at this meat shop. Very bad experience more than once here for halal meat in the recent past. Each time the meat is firstly not what we asked for and definitely not the right cuts or quality. As one example, please look at the pictures I attached here. I asked for a chicken to be cut in pieces. This is what I got. Uneven and broken pieces. NEVER EVER have I had a butcher give me chicken pieces this way. What exactly am I supposed to do with this?? Everyone’s money is hard earned and when as Muslims we venture out sometimes long distances in this country to get halal meat - we should not be treated like this. Sub par meat, cut like a child cut it. May not matter to their bottom line but to lose a good customer should always matter. Utterly disappointed again. It’s ridiculous.

Came here to try a halal Philly cheesesteak with my friend who is Muslim about a year ago. It was so delicious that I had to come back again. Honestly, it's the best cheesesteak in the area that I've tried. Pretty cheap place for some food, but the portions are huge! Will totally come again.

Was invited for Iftar by a family during Ramadan and wanted to bring appropriate halal foods. The gentleman greeted me promptly after finishing his prayer and was very helpful and informative. He explained the popular foods and several other customs that I found useful later that evening during the breaking of the fast. All the items I bought at Jerusalem Halal Market were wonderfully received and brought smiles to the children's eyes. Definitely the place to go for great tasting halal food during Ramadan. Thank you!!

Delicious lamb and chicken biryani with vegetables and toasted almonds. Very clean and hospitable. I also took home some freshly made baba ganoush Nice selection of Arabic grocery products.
