A-1 Food Store

Can't get enough of their lentil Samosas, and snacks. They have all types of Desi, food, snacks, spices, and other goods. The variety is huge for such a small store and there's always customers about.They have some entire row of completely different lentils. There's fresh cut meats and poultry in the back. Right of the counter lies a small selection of fresh vegetables along with other frozen foods. There's entire bags of rice stacked in a row next to some small shopping carts (Count on using one when you come here) Plus Everything is halal! I love trying new things and the huge variety of items makes for finding very interesting items. Downside is that some items are either out or low in stock.

I wanted to like this place so much. The goat was so expensive ($10.99/lb) and we were SHORTED almost a whole HALF POUND. I wouldn't mind paying that for good goat, but we were cheated. I would've gone back and get the rest of what I bought, but it's 30 from me. I am disappointed. Also, nothing had price tags, which drove me crazy.

A-1 Foods is a small yet accommodating local halal store for all Desi groceries. This store has actually been one of my go-to stores for almost 8 years. They have a wide variety of halal items ranging from snacks to appetizers to meats and vegetables. The meat is always fresh and top quality. They definitely sell the best goat meat in all of Broward County!
