Masjid Al-Qassam, part of the Islamic Community of Tampa, is a welcoming and well-maintained mosque located at 5910 E 130th Ave, Tampa, FL 33617. The mosque offers five daily prayers led by a full-time Imam, with separate prayer areas for sisters. The community hall hosts weekly programs, fostering a strong sense of community among attendees. Additionally, the mosque organizes study circles for women new to Islam every Tuesday, providing valuable educational opportunities. The facility is clean, with ample parking and well-kept restrooms, making it a comfortable place for worship and community events.

If you are a mother looking to take her children to a mesjid DO NOT GO HERE. There are far more family friendly mesjids much better for the youth. I went here to pray taraweeh with my seven yr old cousin. I got there on time and Im met by a volunteer telling me I have to pray outside. It is so cold outside so I told her that will not be happening so then she said I need too put my cousin in a daycare. I told her that my aunt felt uncomfortable with a daycare as my cousin also would be anxious going into one alone. She told me then her mom needs to come pick her up?? Her mom just had a baby so no? I drove my cousin 20 minute so that she cna pray, she is not fooling around in the mesjid and is actually praying. I can not believe that the solution this mesjid found was to put the women outside? Why not have us teenagers pray outside then? If my cousin was a baby i would completely understand however my cousin wanted to pray and the lady told me that she isn’t actually worshipping and rather shes taking up space from other women that wanna worship! Not true infact i got there early to secure a spot and there are multiple mesjids so my tiny cousin is not the problem the REAL issue is the fact that the womens side is too small. I am not sure who hired these volunteers on the women side and who came up with these rules but it is approaching that ramadan will be during rhe winter time so no lady should have to pray outside. Again I understand there concerns with people eating, or fooling around in the mesjid however they should not get mad when faced with opposition to this child policy. She said that if she bends the rules for me then she should bend the rules for everyone? I highly disagree! If a child wanna pray let them stay if they fooling around then ask them to leave. Whoever gets to the mesjid first deserves their spot first whether there a child or not

Dear All; I have come across many reviews that seem to focus on individual behaviors rather than the essence of this beautiful place of worship. It’s important to remember that the actions of individuals—whether positive or negative—do not represent Islam or the sanctity of this space. This place deserves to be appreciated for what it truly is: a peaceful and welcoming house of worship. The architecture, the cleanliness, and the sense of calm you feel when you step inside are all reflections of its true purpose. It provides a space for people to connect with their Creator and find peace in their hearts. Let us focus on the place itself and the spiritual value it holds, rather than individual experiences with visitors. This way, we can appreciate the beauty and purpose of this sacred space. I hope others who visit will keep this perspective in mind and share their experiences in the same spirit of respect and understanding.

Bathroom is dirty, some guy said he swears to God if he sees my soccer ball he is going to pop it. They have nice food and good events and good imams and the masjid is clean, but they need more parking and a bigger bathroom.
