During our vacation in Orlando, we had the chance to eat at The Mexican Camel Halal, and it was absolutely fantastic! The fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean flavors is truly unique and incredibly delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced.
I ordered a bowl with tender chicken, vibrant yellow rice, fresh herbs, and a creamy sauce that tied all the flavors together beautifully. Every bite was a delight, and the portion size was generous. The restaurant also impressed us with its clean and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
If you’re looking for a flavorful and satisfying halal meal in Orlando, I highly recommend The Mexican Camel Halal. It’s a hidden gem that we can’t wait to visit again!

Catering buyers beware - we placed an order for nearly $400 in catered food for a group of 18. The Mexican package + churros. We ordered 3/4 steak and shrimp and 1/4 chicken and steak. We received two over stuffed half size pans of rice, one full half size pan of beans, 1 half size pan of fajita veggies and an assortment of toppings. The meat servings were ridiculously small. 1/4 size pans that weren’t even half full. 18 orders of half steak just barely hit the halfway mark. They sent 4 shrimp per order and when we called to complain when receiving the order, said we should be happy they gave us FOUR extra shrimp. They provided one small “scoop” of chicken and steak per order. The chicken looked weird and was very dry even though it obviously had sauce on it at some
point. This is not Mexican fiesta rather a Mexican rice bowl with a tiny bit of meat. We had to pay extra for tortillas. We ended up having someone literally count out the shrimp to ensure no one took ONE too many. The rice was almost mush on top it had apparently cooked and sat so long. The churros were smaller or about the size of a ping pong ball and were $1.50 each. They had filling so I guess it makes up for it but the picture when you order shows a bowl of churros. It was disingenuous advertising. Nobody was getting full or even satisfied on that dessert. I called and emailed the entire day trying to confirm the order. Even had others call in case something was wrong with my phone. The phone kept saying call busy. Nobody responded to the emails. We finally got one call through an hour before our delivery was due and confirmed the order, delivery time and our request to send extra plates and silverware. We had barely enough small paper trays to serve food and each single churro, ran out of napkins even limiting to two person and had NO serving spoons for anything. We ended up borrowing from the hotel. When we called to complain the gal who answered didn’t speak English at all. She said to the person in our group who spoke fluent Spanish pretty much tough, she didn’t care about our complaints and didn’t care we didn’t have anything to serve food with nor enough plates and forks to eat it on. To reach her we had to have their driver call because again their phone didn’t ring. Deceptive advertising, very poor support for the catering order, crazy they can’t answer their phone AND the order was 45 minutes late. If you can’t handle catering business with SEVEN hours notice don’t take catering orders. Our group travels the country and does catering orders everywhere. This is the worst business and catering experience we’ve ever had in two years. We return to Orlando in June with triple the size group and for a few weeks. We definitely will NOT be ordering from here or stopping in. So many Orlando options; this was sad for what amounted to $23 per person for less then we’d have gotten from Chioptle.

11/20:Was recommended by co-worker, Here from Texas on business for a few days. 95% travel the US with my line of work. Never ever heard of this place and Never seen anything like this place (they make chipolet looke like taco bell). Melody assisted me on the menu and explain in great detail of the food items. I selected #4 lamb pita and only added lamb/cilantro/grill onions & peppers/pico de gallo and yes Pineapple. the taste was delicious!! The lemonade/ginger/mint is my new favorite drink!! had the Baba baklava for dessert. I will be visiting tomorrow and friday to try other items on Menu (before I head back to Texas). HIGHLY Highly recommend this place for lunch/dinner. Staff was very attentive/friendly/clean area. Would love a place like this in Texas!!
11/21 (visited again today) OMG even better Order the chips & Salsa (added guac), chicken tortilla lime soup (different taste, be careful of hot sause ita a kicker but delicuous), had the Mexdilla and this baby was crispy flour tortilla and all the right mixture of ingredents just awesome delicious.
Imma telling ya, this is a must visit place at least once. They have vegan dishes as well..

12/29/24 was our first time visiting the Mexican Camel and we are very sad we’ll be going home to MD & there’s no location near us! The food was SO good! I ordered shrimp nachos, my son ordered a steak burrito, my partner (who is Mexican) ordered the #3, which were shrimp tacos, and we ordered chips & salsa for all of us. They have a variety of toppings to choose from & their cilantro sauce is sooooo good! Our food was made fresh & everything was delicious. Staff is incredibly nice & we were served promptly upon approaching the counter. The ‘stubborn soda’ options were good too! We were curious about the Mexican/Mediterranean fusion, but we were not disappointed! Flavorful & delicious. It didn’t feel too heavy like Chipotle leaves me feeling. We are going to make a pit stop before we head back to Maryland!
