Below average Indian food for the prices, and especially for Edison. Service was poor, there was someone constantly pacing around our table trying to take the plates - oh by the way, you’re forced into a 20% gratuity for this trash service.
The food itself is very average/below average. We got the spinach chaat, which for $17, did not live up to expectations. 4 lightly fried spinach pieces, dumped in sweet dahi. For mains, we had malai kofta and paneer tikka masala. Malai kofta was lukewarm and koftas were cold on the inside (frozen koftas?). The malai kofta curry itself was one of the lower tier ones I’ve had, had a watery consistency. The paneer tikka masala was average, but nothing crazy for a $25 dish. For some reason, the amount of spice in everything is through the roof, maybe to mask the subpar curry itself.
Anyways, prices don’t justify the food, you’re better off trying other options in the area!
There’s also a 3% credit card fee, enjoy.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Mughal Restaurant . From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was inviting and warm. Our server, Valentine, was exceptionally courteous and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal.
We started with the mixed vegetable sizzler and chicken malai kabob—both were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The sizzler was vibrant and perfectly spiced, while the malai kabob was tender, creamy, and melted in the mouth.
For the main course, we enjoyed chicken Kolhapuri and bhindi do pyaza, accompanied by a basket of fresh, warm breads. The Kolhapuri had just the right amount of heat and complexity, and the bhindi was cooked to perfection—flavorful and not at all greasy.
Every dish was delicious and made with obvious care. We left full and happy, already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend Mughal for anyone craving authentic and well-prepared Indian cuisine—and be sure to ask for Valentine!

Valentine gave us excellent service and our glasses never went dry. The butter chicken was incredible along with pressure cooker goat was phenomenal not to mention the garlic naan bread. We also found out it was Valentines birthday. What a tremendous service to serve us on his birthday. We will definitely return. Thanks Valentine 🎂🍾
